Job description

A Law Student Placement has opened up for a dedicated and driven individual at this leading provider of economic data based in London on a part-time contractual basis. 

Since 1994, this company has been helping the global financial community to make informed decisions with high-quality securities reference data, corporate actions, end-of-day pricing and economic data services. 

The selected candidate will be responsible for collecting the Foreign Ownership limitation data by making calls to multiple official sources across all regions/countries and sending the collected data to the processing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for contacting foreign investment-related government authorities and regulatory sources through the telephone and obtaining the FOL data
  • Responsible for maintaining the contact call registry spreadsheet and updating the daily status with comments
  • Making follow-up calls with respective authority sources if required
  • To conduct additional research on the contact details and call the source to obtain the FOL
  • Sending collected information to the data processing team and coordinating with the data processing team for additional data requirements
  • To perform the role in compliance with the company's quality and security objectives as defined in the company policies and procedures
  • To carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required

Required Experience: 

  • Must complete undergraduate in LLB Law with International Business or equivalent qualification in any Law
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Company law and communication Skills
  • Fresher or Final Year Law Student

Required Skills:

  • Excellent vocabulary skills and formal email content creation
  • Basic computer knowledge with MS Office and internet content research skills
  • Work with a team
  • Good communication
  • Willingness to learn
  • Autonomous and self-starter
