£40,221 - £51,515 per annum
Are you looking for a varying legal role where you can help make a true difference? If so we are wanting to recruit a Lawyer/Senior Lawyer to join our friendly and professional legal department at Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

Please note, at least 5 years’ experience is required to achieve PO5-6.
The successful candidate will be a solicitor or barrister entitled to practice in England and holding a current practising certificate or FCILEX and have demonstrable broad experience of criminal law and magistrates’ court work.  Experience of advising on prosecutions is desirable and experience of advocacy is essential.
The successful candidate will have good technical knowledge in the area of law concerned.
The post-holder will assist the Team Leader (TL) and Deputy Team Leader (DTL) of the Education Employment and Litigation Team in providing a high quality legal service primarily working in the area prosecutions and magistrates’ court work, receiving guidance and supervision from the TL and DTL and support from colleague lawyers where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a professional legal service, exercise professional judgment and make all day-to-day operational decisions on allocated matters and cases.
From time to time the post holder may be required to assist in the other areas of work in Legal Services.
