Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry Analyst. The successful candidate will be recognized for their in-depth understanding of LCMS analysis including protocol and report writing. In this role, you will have responsibility for the daily activities related to LCMS, this may include sample preparation, data acquisition. Data processing and instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Experienced in the use of LCMS for quantitative data acquisition and processing, qualitative data processing experience would be of benefit but not essential
  • Experience working within an analytical/sample preparation laboratory with hands on sample preparation experience
  • Responsible for compliance with all regulatory and Company requirements in relation to Quality, Health and Safety
  • To understand the responsibilities of Study Personnel as specified under GLP regulations
  • Show initiative, proactiveness and engage in continuous improvement intiatives and ensure housekeeping and cleanliness are to the highest standards
  • Ensuring all reports and studies are delivered in line with agreed deadlines, making relevant parties aware of risks to delivery dates
  • Preparation of wash solvents and lab reagents when required
  • Ability to carry out routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of LC-MS, Single and Triple Quadrupole instruments

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Communicate effectively with team members and colleagues, feeding back issues to line management appropriately.
  • Degree in Life Sciences or relevant industry experience
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, attention to deail, and vigilance when carrying out tasks.
  • Able to follow instructions given by senior members of staff where appropriate.
  • Adopt a ‘right first time’ mentality, in alignment with Element strategy, reducing avoidable errors and repeats
  • Competent in interpreting results, trouble shooting, highlighting errors and problem areas.
  • Understand and be compliant in Data Integrity requirements
  • Understand and be compliant in “5s” standards methodology
  • Proficient in IT packages, in particular Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet
