Delivering with People.

In DWP our Lead Agile Coaches provide expert internal consultancy. You'll be working with programs of high complexity to role model, teach and champion agile values and principles.

You'll apply a range of techniques to proactively raise capability, reduce risk and increase our ability to deliver services at pace.

Do you know your stuff? You'll need to apply your extensive Agile and Lean knowledge and experience with individuals, teams and leadership to deliver a bespoke set of interventions to drive through significant transformational change.

You'll work as part of our Agile Coaching team. You'll have a leading role in the development, evolution, and day to day operation of DWP's coaching service as part of an already mature Agile Delivery practice.

The level of expertise in our team is incredible, and it's your mission to get ensure we're collaboratively achieving the aims of our broad ranging projects.

You'll need to be experienced in leading significant change and development in a complex agile and lean delivery environment across multiple phases.

As an experienced agile leader, you will know what good looks like. You'll help to support the culture and teams. You'll coach senior delivery professionals, setting the standards and priorities for our mission. You'll strike a balance between managing people, value and pace across a significant portfolio of projects.

We create psychologically safe spaces to ensure our experts have what they need to be at their best. Our focus is on individuals and interactions, creating healthy team and inter-team dynamics, demonstrating and coaching leaders in servant leadership.

Regular travel to hub locations as per advertised will be necessary to coach teams and to support coaching practice development.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need to show us?

* Hands on experience of being an Agile Delivery Manager in a complex digital environment.
* In-depth knowledge and demonstrable practical application of agile frameworks, practices, techniques, and tools.
* Experience of coaching teams and/or individuals by identifying and using appropriate stances (teach, mentor, facilitate, coach).

Mandatory Qualifications:

* Appropriate foundation level Agile certification i.e., PSM1

Desirable Qualifications:

* Advanced level certification, i.e., PSM2/3 - Or a commitment to working towards this in post
* Kanban certification, i.e., PSK or KMP - Or a commitment to working towards this in post
* ICC Agile Coaching or similar - Or a commitment to working towards this in post

You'll join us in our Digital Hub based in either Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield.

We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We work a hybrid model, with some office and home working.

In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay between £69,869 to £89,995. We make offers based on our assessment of your skills and capability - you need to be a really capable practitioner and high scoring candidate to get an offer at the top end of this range.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 27.9% - 30.3%.
