What you'll be doing:
- Cultivating and fostering a team that consistently demonstrates strong work behaviours and building connections within the broader Sopra Steria Organisation.
- Propose optimal solutions and lead the design and delivery across pre-sales, projects and as repeatable blueprints.
- Make day to day decisions about the setup and priorities for the engineering community along with their required leadership team to govern and direct resources within it.
- Collaborate with fellow leads and steering groups to make sure the right skills are maintained within the engineering function.
- Promote consistent ways of working by following established guidelines and standards for GT&T and UK technical principles, frameworks, and standards.
- Lead teams, and support team members and junior colleagues in the performance of their respective roles.
- Build and the support the development of compelling propositions to take to market in the AI & Data field.
- Focused on delivery excellence to ensure projects succeed against time, budget and quality, with a focus on reducing risk and technical debt.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of leading and developing a team and working with alongside delivery managers.
- Be a SME in Artificial Intelligence tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of GenAI and LLM’s such as ChatGPT, Claude, Llama and OpenAI with advanced features such as prompt engineering, fine tuning, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and advances search.
- Ability to act as a client-facing trusted-advisor consultant.
- Robust knowledge of data and artificial intelligence standards such as GDPR, Information Security and ethical and compliant AI.
- Experience with leading AI tools such as AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Platform / Machine Learning and Jupyter.
- Intelligent document processing using AI including OCR, handwriting character recognition and computer vision.
- Digital assistant solutions enhanced by AI to interact with users across a number of channels including chat, voice and application native integration such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Data architectures including data integration, management, reporting and analytics, simulation and digital twins.
- Microsoft365 Copilot architecture, deployment and information security.
- AI, data and DevSecOps pipeline development.
- AI assisted software development and testing using tools such as GitHub Copilot or AWS CodeWhisperer.
- Cloud native delivery engineering such as Containers / Kubernetes, event driven architecture and microservices.
