Would you like to help build the bank of the future?
Consumer Relationships is one of five business units, here to focus on protecting, deepening and growing our customer relationships.
Our Business Unit structure will help us make the most of new opportunities and fulfil our Group strategy - by harnessing the brilliance and the deep care and commitment of our colleagues to deliver on our priorities and ultimately, our purpose.
Who are we looking for?
Tech leaders! To revolutionise on this scale we need you to have a breadth of knowledge in current tech, we want you to be passionate about its application, prepared to disrupt the norm in the pursuit of the best possible customer experience.
You should have people at your heart, we strive for excellent customer experience but to achieve this we focus on our people - building a culture around continued learning and support so everyone can feel bold to share new ideas and solutions.

Architecture at Lloyds Banking Group is a thought leadership function, seeing opportunities to make a positive difference and influencing senior leaders (up to Exec level) and engineers to implement your strategies! We'd like you to do this by:
Working with end-to-end agile platform teams to transform our bank’s capabilities, balancing customer, business and technical outcomes. Leading the technical strategy for your area, driving through to implementation and idea adoption cultivating strong teams as you go. For example, how new data assets could enable new business opportunities, adoption of cloud capabilities and to maximise the benefits and flexibility of an API and data centric technology platform.
As a senior member in the bank you'll be a role model for our values & cultural transformation as well as directly leading, mentoring & leading a team of other Architects. To maximise this you'll need to be based in one of our hub locations, Manchester, Halifax, Leeds or Edinburgh.
This is an agile environment working on challenging problems requiring dedication and leadership to help drive the transformation agenda. Working collaboratively and cultivating trust to influence thinking and gain commitment.

  • Leading complex change including interdependencies, risks and issues, navigating conflicting stakeholder priorities through to conclusion
  • Gravitas and impact to operate at all levels. You’ll use strong storytelling skills, both written and verbally, in how you present your communication recommendations in line with priorities.
  • A flair for customer & tech focused innovation, including awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., Gen AI, Quantum computing) their maturity and strong understanding of their potential business application and consequences including how they align to long term strategy
  • Excel at strategic direction setting with ability to influence decisions across an exec community
