Lead Backend Software Engineer (Edinburgh)

Role Responsibilities

• Leading a brand-new small engineering team being the go to person, overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects
• Ensuring the quality of the engineering work is set to a high standard through testing and inspections.
• Solving complex technical problems that require exceptional skill & focus that in turn devise innovative solutions.
• Researching, developing and exploring new technologies, methodologies and best practices to improve the company's' capabilities.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, other engineering teams, management, clients and vendors to collaborate as a team to meet goals and objectives.
• Playing a vital part in the continuous improvement of the company's product to meet the market demands

Person Specification

• experience with Node.JS
• Leadership within an Engineer team
• Proficient with Typescript
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• A strong understanding with AWS
