Job Description:
Orion Innovation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst to join our Sports Vertical team. In this role, you will directly report to the Vertical Delivery Manager/Head and play a pivotal role in our software development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analysing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of programmes/projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for software development projects within the Sports Vertical.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and other technical specifications for development teams.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and brainstorming sessions to elicit requirements and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the Sports Vertical domain, providing guidance and insights to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Mentor junior members of the Business Analysis team and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with a strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles.
- Proven experience working on software development projects, preferably within the sports industry or related vertical.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern technology stacks is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
