Our client is looking for a Lead Buyer to play a vital role in leading a team of buyers, working closely with suppliers and participating in strategic purchasing decisions. A CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or a willingness to work towards achieving such a qualification is beneficial and Liebherr is committed to supporting your professional development.
Key Responsibilities will include -
- Collaborate in action under the direction of the Department Manager.
- Coordinating a small team of buyers, providing mentoring, guidance and support in achieving department goals.
- Building a portfolio of suppliers and establishing future business contacts.
- Cultivate and develop Supplier Relationship Management.
- Use of the MRP/ERP system.
Required experienced -
- Experience in a similar role required.
- Ability to use MRP/ERP systems to manage purchases and inventories.
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- CIPS qualification is welcome or we can help you achieve it.
- Knowledge of international procurement, import/export regulations and customs procedures will be an added advantage.
