About the Role

Location: Flexible | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots in the North Of Scotland

Salary: £38,700 - £58,100 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

We are looking for a Lead Connections Contracts Manager to join our team!

Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Optimising performance of the Connections Contract Management team and ownership of customer relationships to ensure our service is delivered in line with our distribution purpose and vision.

- Working collaboratively with colleagues across SSEN to ensure consistency of delivery across multiple teams.

- Driving income by developing and implementing training, governance, reporting practices, and behaviours aligned with industry best practice.

- Efficient and accurate issuing of Standard License Condition 12 (SLC12) Connection Offers and subsequently their contractual management, from acceptance to energisation, to mitigate contractual, network security, and financial risks to SSEN.

- Develop, coach, motivate and empower all colleagues and direct reports in line with the leadership blueprint to deliver and perform to their full potential within a positive but challenging environment.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Good commercial awareness with an understanding of regulatory funding and charging mechanisms.

- Experience working in a customer driven environment, possessing excellent negotiation and personal skills.

- Good knowledge of Distribution Networks and Power Distribution operations up to 132kV.

- Leader of people; coaching and mentoring skills, performance management skills.

- Ability to deliver within challenging timescales, the ability to effectively prioritise, plan and organise, balance immediate and longer-term business priorities.
