Job description
We’re looking for a Head of Data with wide-ranging skills! The main responsibility for this role is leading the day-to-day delivery and implementation of specified client projects. Please have a look at some of the things we are looking for, but don’t let one bullet point hold you back from applying. This is a starting point, the role will evolve with the successful applicant.
- Deliver high-impact projects and engage with senior stakeholders across our client base (Pharma, Insurance, Education/Awarding organisations, etc).
- The projects typically include scoping and planning the go-to-market approach of our clients (e.g., helping identify success metrics, technology implementation roadmap, etc.)
- Engaging directly with prospective clients and existing clients to discuss data requirements and future data needs.
- Data cleansing, governance and management - you will be responsible for the projects from beginning to end.
- You will be collaborating with Fluence’s Tech Team, using our proprietary suite of software, providing feedback and influencing future feature builds.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional colleagues, fostering a collaborative and communicative environment to enhance project productivity.
- Management of allocated resources, both human and technical, to ensure project milestones are achieved. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
- Building and managing a team as the company grows.
- Creating and presenting insightful presentations to clients' senior leadership teams to showcase our technology's findings.
You should apply if:
- Demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst, having delivered and led projects directly with clients, 5 years+ experience.
- Experience working for a large consultancy company, leading and delivering projects directly to clients.
- Substantial hands-on experience in Python, SQL, Excel, calling APIs, using Git, and implementing automated tests.
- Ability to write, test, and maintain high-quality code for data analysis.
- You like learning how to use new tools - we use Fluence’s proprietary software and algorithms, so you need to be excited to learn how to use them!
- You are passionate about data and love finding creative ways to tell the story revealed by the data with the ability to demonstrate the commercial benefit to the customer.
- You are skilled in data visualisation and you are confident in producing compelling PowerPoint presentations and other digital assets for client projects.
- You have people management experience.
- You are excited to build a team and help your colleagues develop.

- Bonus - if you’ve worked for a tech or software consultancy company previously.
Is there travel involved?This role will include frequent travel depending on client requirements. This is likely to be UK and Switzerland-wide.
