Lead Data Scientist

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are pursuing an accomplished Lead Data Scientist, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Data Analytics & Science projects, focusing on the operational data within engineering build and test operations.

You will be instrumental in orchestrating JLR’s strategy, to have a data life cycle management system, to manage the end-to-end traceability of data. You will be advocating this strategy by collaborating with multiple stakeholders delivering the data science projects and driving intelligent business decisions and improvements.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, development and deployment of advanced AI/ machine learning models to solve complex business problems and efficiency areas in operational data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities and leverage data to drive business solutions
• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and evaluate their potential application to our business challenges and efficiencies
• Design and implement experiments to measure the impact of data-driven initiatives
• Need to advocate the fundamental data governance required across the departmental data and manage and maintain the data analytics projects

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Previous experience working in a team in one of the following functions: data science, data analytics, digital data platform
• Expertise in AI/ ML models and experience in applying the models for impactful data-driven solutions
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Experience with big data tech and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
• Knowledge of designing data models and data architecture
