The Opportunity The School of Life Sciences is looking for a Lead Demonstrator in Neuroscience to join our exceptional teaching team. The successful applicant will work with the programme teams to develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate practical laboratory classes, workshops and tutorials, particularly within the Neuroscience programmes. This will include aspects of curriculum development, particularly in supporting the development of new and innovative practical classes. In parallel they will be encouraged and supported to develop their skills in contributing to wider aspects of the curriculum, including small group case-based learning sessions, as well as assisting with open and visit days, and other outreach events. You will have a honours degree in a relevant area of bioscience (neuroscience, physiology, etc), combined with experience in and a passion for delivering laboratory teaching in a Higher Education setting. You will be able to use your bioscience expertise to support the development and delivery of innovative programmes of practical and analytical skills training designed around student-centred teaching techniques and enquiry-based learning.
