Lead Dispensary Pharmacist With Emergency Duty Commitment

The pharmacist appointed will be a member of the team providing a pharmaceutical service to the Western Health and Social Care Trust. He/She will work as a Lead Patient Services Pharmacist providing a high level of dispensary services. The key areas of the post are: To lead, manage and develop the dispensary service at Altnagelvin Hospital; To train and develop a team of pharmacists, technicians and support staff delivering pharmacy patient services to the WHSCT facilities at Altnagelvin Hospital; To provide a clinical pharmacy check to all discharge, specialist medicines, outpatient, clozapine prescriptions and other prescriptions received in dispensary; He/she will provide the service in accordance with the current standards and will be required to ensure the safe, effective and economic use of pharmaceuticals at patient level..

Minimum of 2 years recent post registration experience

Applicants must have an MPharm degree or equivalent

Be a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of N.I. or be eligible to register
