What you will be doing:
Coordinate and execute the timely and safe transportation of goods using Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs).
Supervise and lead a team of HGV drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of HGVs, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
Collaborate with logistics coordinators and operational staff to streamline operations and resolve any transportation-related challenges.
Ensure all drivers uphold compliance with road safety regulations, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
Foster a positive team culture by promoting effective communication and teamwork among HGV drivers.

About you:Qualifications 

Valid HGV driving license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as an HGV driver, with a track record of safe and efficient driving.
Leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong organisational and planning skills to optimize delivery schedules.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and logistics personnel.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and transport industry standards.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and unforeseen challenges.
High level of professionalism and a commitment to customer service.
Any additional certifications or training in logistics and transportation management is a plus.
