Job Title: Lead Estimator
Location: Seaham Office
Salary: DOE
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Correll Group is a High Voltage, Low Voltage & Fibre Optical engineering, installation and maintenance contractor, specialising in the onshore and offshore energy sector.
The Role:
Reporting to the Bids and Tendering manager, the Lead Estimator will be responsible for Leading the Estimating team, all day-to-day activities required to support the Bids and Tendering process to secure new and repeat business contracts.
The Candidate:
Experience of negotiated framework bidding and competitive bidding - essentialExperience of success in supporting a major contract or Business Unit and/or providing support to a professional functionLine Management experience - desirableExcellent influencing, negotiation, and delegation skillsStrong commercial acumen and excellent analytical skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office, predominantly MS Word, MS Excel and OutlookAnalytical and keen attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and customer-facing skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsRight to Work in the UKDuties and Responsibilities:
Lead pricing strategies on larger tendersSupport the wider bid teams in ensuring appropriate risk management throughout the tender periodIdentify commercial opportunities and supporting tender commercial strategies on larger schemesEnsure all estimate outputs required are completed and to the correct standardSupport the presentation of large tenders to DirectorsSupport in compiling tender pricing submission documentsEstablish and maintain good contacts with Project leads and support functions to ensure internal buy in is securedInvolvement in client meetings, presentations, and tender negotiationsObtaining client feedback on performance and sharing of learning within wider estimating teamMaintaining awareness of key sector technologies, prices, and market conditionsPromoting and Leading continual improvement initiativesManage change of Estimating proforma, etcSupport in monitoring performance against the budgetsLead, motivate and coach estimating team members, providing developmental support to enable them to provide excellent commercial and procurement servicesBenefits:
