SalaryShoreham Academy are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and flexible Lead Examination Invigilator to join our Exam team.
The purpose of this role is to lead the invigilator team in setting up rooms for student examinations, supervising the students during examinations and assisting the Examinations Officer with administrative duties, such as, collating and packing exam scripts after the exam in preparation of posting to the exam boards and displaying seating plans around the school building.
This role would suit applicants looking for flexible working during term time school hours with some after-school hours required. Hours and days will vary depending on operational need, however availability between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm is required and you will need to be available for a certain number of hours during the key exams period of May and June.
We are seeking a professional person with strong spoken and written English skills as well as a good level of IT literacy. Applicants should be reliable and possess a calm but firm approach. Full training will be given, however, experience of working with young people would be an advantage.
The successful applicants will be joining a large staff team of more than 200 staff where support staff make up approximately half of this number.

All new employees will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check with Barred List information prior to working in school. Two satisfactory references are required from all successful applicants, one of which must be the current or most recent employer. Prohibition order checks are undertaken for all newly appointed teachers and support staff who will be engaged in ‘teaching work’.
All new employees will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.

All new employees will be required to read and sign the annual Staff Student Relationship letter upon joining the Academy.
All new employees are required to complete three online safeguarding modules prior to starting work.
Evidence of an individual’s right to work in the UK will be checked at interview. Verification of any mandatory professional qualifications and professional status; relevant certificates or a letter of confirmation from the awarding institution must be provided at interview.
