AFI Group of Companies currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Rack and Pinion Hoist lead Installer to support our Bishops Stortford hoist depot. You will work alongside a trainee installer to erect, maintain, service, and repair hoists around the country and at our Bishops Stortford location.
On a day-to-day basis you may be required to travel to different locations to attend industrial and construction sites as needed. Van provided for this.
Main Responsibilities
Undertake all works involved with hoists with regards to maintenance, preparation, installation, dismantling, service, and repair.Ensure the health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.Complete installations and dismantles working within method statement.Complete relevant paperwork accurately.Foresee problems on site and be able to provide solutions.Carry out inspections on machines prior to supervisor thorough examination (schedule 1).Keep hoist transport vehicles clean inside and out.Liaise with office regarding problems, missing/damaged equipment.Take pictures of all installations.Wear provided PPE at all times.Keep the yard clean and tidy at all times.Ideal candidates will be NVQ2 or NVQ3 hoist erector qualified.
Essential SkillsA good knowledge of rack and pinion hoist installation and maintenance is essential.The successful candidate will be working on Geda, Maber and Stros hoists. Product training can be arranged.An outgoing and enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn new skills.As this is a customer facing role, excellent communication skills and a friendly approach are a must.
