We have this serious opportunity where you can be involved with a tailored Application for a prestigious Government client, managing the lifecycle of the component. There is also the potential to tackle low level design and jig it, as well as grow and improve the system. Preferably you will have Elastic experience, but we are willing to train.
We use the latest technologies to deliver an interconnected on-premises technology solution. These roles require the successful applicants to undergo UK security vetting clearance.
This role is based on site in Gloucester.

What you will be doing:
- Working on a mix of BAU and specific project activities
- Investigate, triage & action incidents & stories
- Supervise and maintain system health to make sure the highest level of service is always maintained
- Be the focal point for Elastic related problems, issues, changes, and queries
- Work with ITIL based service management processes
- Develop and maintain customer and third-party relationships
What you will bring:
- Proficient in virtualisation technologies including containerisation
- Understanding of IaC
- Understanding of scripting and automation
- Understanding of digital certificates, authentication principles and how certificate authorities work
- Knowledge of computer networks, routing, firewalls & proxies
- Patch management with the ability to deploy patches
- Understanding of Linux OS’s
- Experience of dealing with hardware components for troubleshooting
It would be great if you had:
- Experience of Agile delivery methods (Scrum & Sprint)
- Working knowledge of Elastic products including ECE
- Experience of working in a DevOps environment
