JOB TITLE: Lead Integrator
SALARY: £73,262 - £86,190
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
Playing an integral part in the Protection team, it’s a phenomenal opportunity to be at the forefront of new ways of working as well as playing a key part in achieving our stated ambition of becoming a top 3 protection provider.
The purpose of the role is to understand complex deliverables and ensure that where we have a reliance on other teams to deliver that the requirements and timeframes are understood by both parties and are clear. These will cover both business and technology change.
Responsibilities:
  • You’ll establish pivotal integration points across Labs/Platforms and effectively communicate these integration points to relevant stakeholders. Developing the sequence for integration related tasks in collaboration with Lab Leadership and aligned to the Lab backlog.
  • You’ll catalogue and manage dependencies between other teams, working with stakeholders to ensure interlock, enabling the platform to deliver at pace. You’ll identify blockers to delivery and, where possible, mitigate/resolve, calling out to product owner(s)/platform leadership where required.
  • You’ll manage complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery.
  • You’ll coordinate the integration process and/or implementation events across shared infrastructure (e.g. Upgrading the Mainframe); leading on the SI process, coordinating parties to get the change over the line whilst safeguarding our customers. You’ll provide expertise (not content) for governance activity owned by the Product Owner, e.g. PRIA, for change across multiple programmes.

What you’ll need
  • Agile Methodology & Tools - Manage a number of agile teams across the business, delivering high priority or significant change to the Bank. Acting as a servant leader to build a work environment in which colleagues, at all levels, feel respected, appreciated, and valued.
  • Stakeholder Management - Using personal impact and positioning to build and sustain long-term relationships (including C-suite Executives). Resolving conflict, building consensus and influencing good outcomes.
  • Planning, Tracking, Reporting & Governance - Communicate regular status updates to key team members while resolving high priority issues affecting delivery. Using experience to address critical risks/issues/dependencies arising out of Status Reporting and agile meetings, taking responsibility for critical issues while ensuring resolution within agreed timescales.
  • Leadership & Culture - Applies experience in cultural change initiatives to support various agendas in the Group (e.g., feedback). Understands the main barriers to changing culture and the criticality of leadership agreement.
  • Coaching & Feedback - Observes and uses active listening and empathy to connect with people, without judging and being self-focused. Uses experience to provide clear, relevant, constructive, solution-focused, positive and motivating advice which is future focused.
