Lead Java Developer: Up to £80,000

Sanderson are working with a large IT Company who are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join one of their agile teams. You will play a key role in utilising agile methodologies and DevOps techniques to design and build robust Back End systems, data processing pipelines, and progressive web apps that enhance the digital experience for the customers.

As a developer you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects from concept formalisation to software maintenance. The client is looking for individuals who are adept at requirements analysis, software architecture design, implementation, training, and support, and are passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and support to team members within an agile framework.
• Deploy software systems to a diverse range of environments, including public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as private cloud setups.
• Contribute to the growth and success of the team by leveraging your skills and experience.

Requirements

• Experience utilising AWS and Java
• Experience working with Agile methodologies including SCRUM & Kanban practices, supporting colleagues as required.
• Experience in previously leadership and support to delivery team members.
• Has deployed software systems to public and private cloud environments.
• Has experience in using open-source libraries and components.
• Has used tools such as GitLab to build CI/CD Pipelines.
• Must be eligible for security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British Citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
