Lead Maintenance Engineer

Dublin

My client is a market leading producer of carton board and folding cartons, promoting sustainable development through innovative, recyclable packaging and paper products. Central to our Client’s success is their investment in staff with attraction, training, development, and retention, all at the heart of their staffing vision. Currently looking to appoint a Lead Maintenance Engineer, this is an excellent opportunity to join their already talented team.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is very much hands-on and requires strong leadership, ensuring maintenance across the site is carried out to a high standard, tracking expenses, and coordinating with external vendors. The role will also ensure that the plant machinery and equipment run smoothly and reliably at all times.

Key responsibilities include.

Put safety first at all times, following all safety procedures and guidelines.

Arrange/carry out inspection, maintenance and repairs for machinery, equipment and plant.

Management of technical maintenance contractors and services.

Administration of CMMS system, assigning production machinery maintenance schedules, work orders and management of the team and the site demand.

Generating work order processes and procedures for maintenance and repair of plant machinery.

Collaborate with contractors and other professionals during construction works on site.

Lead planning and execution of Projects assigned to Maintenance Department.

Execution of FAT, IQ/OQ, Commissioning orders.

Reporting energy waste and identification of energy saving opportunities.

Track, plan, and record maintenance expenditure.

Completion of internal or external training as for self and the team for continuous development.

Required skills & competencies.

Awareness of H&S policy and practice.

Trade qualified.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Experience of Maintenance Engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems.

An understanding of basic technical aspects of property (Air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical etc.).

Ability to develop effective relationships with Maintenance team and with contractors.

Computer literate and proficient in use of MS Office.

Desired skills & competencies.

CMMS experience and/or CMRP Certified.

Degree qualified. Mechatronics qualifications are highly desired.

Working knowledge of electrical fault-finding techniques.
