An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrically biased, Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a multi-national company based around the Stanford Le Hope area of Essex

The Role

• Provide Electrical and Mechanical support to ensure performance of all automation machinery (i.e.
  retrieval systems, sortation equipment, conveyors, high bay cranes etc)


• Repairs to contacts, sensors, switches, relays, motors, gear boxes, chains, belts and much more.


• Interrogation and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems via laptop.


• Accurate and timely updating of the Maintenance Management system.


• Coordination of two Engineers within your team (daily activities / priorities…)


• Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance work to ensure all workloads have been completed within deadlines.


• Encouraging, supporting and managing active participation in continuous improvement activities.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will preferably have:-

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship/ HNC/HND/ONC or equivalent in electrical Engineering.


• A high standard of electrical/ mechanical knowledge, ideally gained from an automated environment such as; Packaging, Food, FMCG, Logistics etc (Industry can be open though with consideration to transferable skills and knowledge).


• Good knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs to interrogation level.


• Experience of leading / coordinating other Engineers.
  This may not have been in a formal role but maybe as informally as managerial support.

Salary: £52k

Candidates may have previously held the title of: Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, Shift Technician , Multi skilled Engineer , Multi Skilled Technician , Resident Engineer, Resident Technician, Electrical Engineer.
