SalaryMechanical Lead – Nuclear New Build – Permanent
NRL are currently recruiting for an Mechanical Lead Engineer for a major nuclear new build project. This role is a key position leading the Mechanical discipline from cradle to grave. You will be highly responsible and able to make key decisions in line with project values.
This is a good mix of boots on the ground/technical expertise. You will need to be able to manage and lead high volume, highly regulated projects and all workers who will fall under your wings. You will need a track record of delivering projects successfully and on-time, being the go-to expert for all things Mechanical on a major project.
You will be able to manage the work scope and investigate and rectify any deviances, delays, non-conformance, extra works whilst continuing to lead all personnel, subbies, external providers.
This role is fast paced, important, and essential to the package delivery and we are looking for someone who has the skills and knowledge with a keen attitude, able, and excited to be part of the future nuclear performance.
Permanent Contract – Staff Salary (Salary expectation required)
Project around 4-5 years
Must be a UK resident with full UK right to work, Sponsorship not available (Clearance required)
What you need:
Experienced with man-management and supervision of large workforces
Construction, installation, commissioning experience
Strong Mechanical knowledge with degree level qualifications as a Engineer
Suitable site safety qualifications
Able to work dynamically and with the flow but able to stop and identify any discrepancies, technical issues, and input the require knowledge and expertise to swiftly return to normal routines.
Power generation new build experience, such as CCGT, EFW, Nuclear.
