Job description

A world-class drama school and educational charity, LAMDA – the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art – delivers exceptional vocational training in the performing arts. The Role

We are seeking a focused, enthusiastic and driven Lead Practitioner (Screen and Audio).

You will inspire, teach and support the next generation of actors and creatives. Reporting to the Joint Heads of Screen, Audio, Digital Performance and Innovation, you will lead the implementation and staffing of the existing Screen and Audio curriculum and discipline skills classes, assist in ensuring that practice keeps pace with current industry practice technically, and providing advice on course matters, teaching and learning development particular to the discipline.

Furthermore, you will be highly organised, have the ability to communicate complex knowledge clearly, both orally and in writing, and give classes to the students, as well as support them in their delivery of practical film unit roles. You will have extensive knowledge of the Film/TV and Audio Industries, a clear understanding of Drama Production Management and a willingness to learn technical procedures.

In this role, you will work 37 hours per week (9.15 am – 5.30 pm), Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work outside these hours to attend events and productions as necessary.
