The Role
The job holder will be responsible for the delivery of all Process deliverables supporting the scale-up and commercialisation of the renewable technology. Our client is currently undertaking FEED studies with various project partners with a view to launch waste to fuel facilities across the UK, Europe, and the USA.

Responsibilities
To take direction from the Engineering Director as to the work needed and timelines required,
Act as technical authority on process design/engineering topics,
Organise, manage and control third party support studies, including carrying out technical evaluation of consultants/contractors/vendors and recommend successful bidders,
Represent our client at seminars/conferences/workshops on all issues related to Process Engineering and Flow Assurance
Able to work independently to an agreed plan and timescale, identifying and resolving process issues which are critical for project objective, schedule, and cost,
Liaise with other technical/engineering staff to answer queries and/or provide technical support, and co-ordinate the work and activities of others,
Undertake all required work activities (including design, assessments, calculations, modelling, and development of reports/procedures/plans, etc.), ensuring that tasks are prioritised and completed in a timely way to ensure project schedules are fully met.
Ensure that works are undertaken in accordance with safe methods of work.
Participate in (and where necessary lead) safety assessments and meetings (e.g. Hazop, DSEAR, P&ID reviews, and risk assessments) relating to plant modifications, additions etc.
Monitor and clearly report progress.
Create, update, and maintain accurate data, documents and drawings relating to projects. Collating and logging all information appropriately in accordance with our client's Approved Procedures.
Develop an intimate knowledge of the RadGas technology.
Provide SME support and technical advice to the Swindon Plant and actively seek and identify opportunities for improvement to plant operations and projects.
Lead by example and support other employees where appropriate.
Participate in activities, as required that are not standard but assist in the development of the plant or the business.Qualifications
Must have Process/Chemical Engineering qualifications (Masters or above).
Expert abilities in development, use, interpretation, and documentation of Aspen Tech and Aspen Plus models.
Ability to work as part of a team, work independently, and to lead multi-disciplinary teams. Organising, monitoring and reporting the work activities of others.
Work flexibly in terms of working patterns, location, and reporting lines, as required for project delivery.
Work innovatively to provide solutions to challenges identified throughout the design process.
To fully understand the operation and equipment of the process and other processes as required.
Familiarity with typical Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Studies, including typical deliverables, approach, and documentation standards.
Desirable:
Familiarity with the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) processes, tendering processes, and supporting the EPC contractor throughout the construction and handover phase.
Management experience of a small Process Engineering team.
Ideally significant experience (7+years) in similar FEED/Engineering environment.
Computer literate and competent in typical MS Office software.
Ability to take a leading role in and champion plant safety, e.g. Hazops, risk assessments, use of safety equipment, etc., and participate, where needed, in health and safety meetings.To apply for this role please send your CV to (url removed) call (phone number removed) ext 218 to discuss.
