The Lead Producer (Public Programs) will be responsible for leading the Creative Collaboration (CC) public programming team, to develop and deliver cross arts Public Programs with a focus to attract younger and diverse audiences.
The post holder will ensure that the Barbican's program includes intentional, imaginative, critical, art events and performances that are aligned with our strategic framework.
Working closely with the Head of Department (HoD) and in collaboration with CC programming team, the Lead Producer will be responsible for engaging new audiences and developing ways of thinking about culture that enrich the centre; and increase its reach to develop younger, newer, diverse arts-going audiences.
Working closely with the HoD the Lead Producer will deliver areas of talent development strategy for the Barbican. A key element of the role is developing and sustaining internal partnerships with the Barbican art form teams, with emerging artists, associate artists, and externally with arts organisations The role is responsible for project management of cross-arts creative collaboration projects.
The Lead Producer will contribute to the strategic development of the Barbican Creative Collaboration programme positioning the department as a creative catalyst.
