Job description

Lead Product Manager: Pay up to £77,740 plus up to 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid home working, flexible hours, and great work life balance.

Our Data and Analytics function is supporting DWP's route to cloud by transforming our data products and services.

As our Lead Product Manager for Data as a Service you will be joining a team responsible for the transformation of existing data products into agile-driven provider/consumer data feeds.

Delivery. Work. Product.

You will be accountable for a portfolio of data enabling products. You be making evidenced based strategic and tactical product decisions, making key priority calls and owning a portfolio roadmap and vision.

You will be responsible for:

  • Communicating product success to stakeholders
  • Owning the product roadmap
  • Leading a portfolio of data products known as Data as a Service
  • Explaining controversial choices about your product
  • Coaching less experienced Product Managers
  • Making evidence-based strategic and tactical product choices
  • Developing the product strategy
  • making key priority calls

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • You'll have experience of setting the direction of the product, rallying the team, owning the vision and roadmap of the product and be that trusted voice
  • Know how to put users first as part of a commitment to user-centred design and know how to achieve this amongst competing priorities including achieving value for the business
  • Experience of making a decision in a time pressured situation
  • Experience of applying influence and challenging the status quo so you can meet your vision
  • Have experience of mentoring and coaching product people and teams to deliver highly quality products and services
  • Experience of agile methodology, when to use it and when to not and how you move through the agile lifecycle.

In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay of up to £77,740.
