Are you an experienced Lead Software Developeron the lookout for your next challenge? Or a Senior Developer with lead experience looking to step up?

I’m currently working for a well-established financial services business of over 20 years who are based in Reading and looking a Lead Software Developer to join the team and be in the office once a week. The company are arguably the market leaders in their respective market where they provide a variety of different financial services to consumers in a variety of sectors.

They are looking for a Lead Software Developer to come in and work in an over-arching role where you support various teams with coding, guidance and general support. The current head of development does not get the valuable time he needs to go into the depths of each team, so this is where this role comes in.

This role has a rough split of 70% coding and 30% leading and you will be responsible for a team of roughly 5 developers which is due to increase next year. You will mostly lead from a technical standpoint but will get involved in management responsibilities.

The role pays up to £80,000 and requires office working of once a week in their Reading office.

Technical Requirements:

• C#, .Net Core/5/6, ASP.NET Web APIs
• Good understanding of Azure
• Confident on the frontend with JavaScript.
• Strong leadership skills where you have managed a minimum of 5 developers
• Great communicator who is comfortable delivering coaching to wide audiences
• Experience collaborating with different teams – Delivery, Product, Infrastructure
• Have some sort of stakeholder management experience (ideal)

Salary/Benefits:

• Up to £80,000
