As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Identity and Access Management , Corporate Sector, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectDefine a roadmap to build out features of the solution that deliver capabilities which align with specific short-term use cases and requirements. Work with teams across the bank to source reference data (and associated metadata) Build or learn to build metadata-driven declarative data transformations (JSON-to-JSON)Partner closely with colleagues through pairing and code reviews.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and proficient applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming languages- Go or CProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and SecurityIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsProficiency in working with information/data modelsHands-on practical experience in both consuming and writing web service APIs -RESTful or Graph-based using JSON and/or XML. Some exposure to LDAP, Active Directory, OIDC, SAML, Kerberos, Amazon IAM, or other enterprise/cloud authentication/authorization technologiesExperience of deployment through a controlled pipeline e.g – Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, Artifactory, automated test and integration.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
A Go Guru – or at least a passionate convert to GolangDeclarative model transformations or mappings – e.g. in a data pipelineExperience with logic programming – Rego, Datalog or Prolog Experience with formal test methods,Satisfiability Modulo theories, Boolean SatisfiabilityUse of RDF technologies such as SparQL or JSON-LD
