Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an experienced technical team leader who can champion innovation, lead projects, influence, and mentor individuals to foster technical excellence within our dynamic team. If you possess the ability to create and realize a technical vision, establish system requirements, and have a track record of delivering projects within time, quality, and budget constraints, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Create solutions for complex systems and establish system requirements from regulations, customer requests, or technology strategies.
• Support the Project Manager in monitoring work progress.
• Be the engineering representative on projects, showcasing a natural flair for technology.
• Evaluate tender quality and technical accuracy, contributing to or leading technical aspects of tender submissions.
• Identify and implement process and product changes for safety, cost, or customer improvements.
• Line Manage, mentor, and develop other members of the Solution Architecture team.
• Develop and maintain departmental standards, continuously driving improvement within the team.
• Flexibility for on-street working in challenging conditions across the UK and possibly internationally.

Required Experience:

• Demonstrable experience in a Solution Architect role.
• Proven capability to improve existing methods and approaches.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Designing and developing solutions from sub-system components.
• Knowledge of IP communications, routing, switching, VPNs for network design.
• Project tracking and reporting.
• Leading and mentoring teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Full UK Driving licence.

Desired Experience (but not essential):

• Expertise in traffic systems, including ANPR & video analytics technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud native infrastructures.
• Scripting languages (e.g., Python).
• Systems modeling using SysML.
