Westwood Education are currently working with an Ofsted "Good" in Tunbridge Wells who are looking for a Lead Teacher of Chemistry.
This is a permanent role to start in September 2024!
The school are looking for either someone who has vast chemistry teaching experience and wants to take the next step or an experienced chemistry leader who is looking for a new challenge.
What they want -
QTS and PGCE
Experience working in secondary schools
Co-ordinate strategies to achieve identified school improvement priorities
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of practice in subject suggesting areas and strategies for improvement
Ensure that appropriate differentiated targets are set and monitored for SEN pupils
Disseminate examples of effective planning; monitor and evaluate the planning of others, providing constructive feedback on a regular basis.
To participate in the interviews for teachers when required and to ensure effective induction of new staff in line with school procedures.
To ensure that all members of the department operate in line with its aims and objectives
Salary -
MPS/UPS with added TLR2c
Head of Year responsibility also available for the right candidate.
This role is not suitable for an ECT.
