As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Technical Project Manager to join the team.
Responsibilities:
As a Lead Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and driving the successful execution of complex projects within a defence communications and network domain.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional engineering teams in the design, development, and deployment of advanced defence communications and network systems.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with major defence companies and government bodies to understand their requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure successful project delivery that aligns with their objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of technical engineering principles, with expertise in systems engineering, communications technologies, and familiarity with machine learning/data science applications.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with overall company goals, timelines, and budget constraints. Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that delivered solutions meet high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in project management, with a focus on technical engineering projects, preferably in defence communications and network systems.
- Proven experience in collaborating with major defence companies and government bodies.
- Strong understanding of technical engineering principles, with expertise in systems engineering, communications technologies, and familiarity with machine learning/data science applications being an advantage.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
- Security clearance or eligibility for security clearance is highly desirable.
