Job description

We are looking for a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join an incredible Private Hospital based in Northampton. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week, covering a flexible shift pattern across seven days, including on-call. The role comes with a salary of 48,000.00 and excellent benefits.
As a Lead Theatre Practitioner, you will work on developing their orthopaedic services and grow our theatre team. You will also deliver quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care.
In your first few weeks in this Lead Theatre Practitioner role, you can expect to:

  • Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care
  • Support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the operating department
  • Manage and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical speciality
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care.

To apply, you will need to be a Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration and have a minimum of three years' experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, overview of leading others. You will also require the following:

  • First surgical assistant certificate
  • Additional skills in recovery and anaesthetics
  • ILS Mentorship qualification
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
  • Proficiency in the use of a PC, including using software and systems
  • Experience in customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
