SALARY: £(phone number removed) PER ANNUM

Elevate your career in Injection Moulding with a pivotal role at a distinguished manufacturing firm in Scunthorpe. A seasoned Lead Tool Setter is sought to steer a proficient team of Tool Setters and Trainee Setters, ensuring the seamless operation of daily setting activities and upholding the highest standards of service to Production.
Envision a work environment where your expertise in tool changes and first-offs is not only valued but essential to the company's adherence to On Time in Full (OTIF) principles. The role demands a vigilant approach to workplace safety, a commitment to environmental standards, and a proactive stance in reporting hazards and incidents.
As the shift's linchpin, your ability to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), pinpoint areas ripe for enhancement, and lead your team through methodical problem-solving during tool changes will be crucial. Your oversight ensures that Tool Setters are on hand for Quality inspection of First Off parts, and that the team's performance is managed effectively to meet and exceed production targets.
Your role is integral to the continuous improvement culture, where your contributions to projects resonate across shifts and departments. You will be instrumental in maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe working environment, fostering team pride and cross-team collaboration.
The position includes responsibilities such as monitoring job cycle times, maintaining the SMED database, and working closely with the Technical team, H&S Coordinator, and Shift Managers to address issues and drive enhancements. Your leadership will ensure smooth shift transitions, uphold common standards, and maintain accurate production monitoring systems.
In addition to leading the team, you will play a key role in training and developing team members, maintaining a skills matrix for each shift, and supporting the Shift Process Engineer as needed.
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday, encompassing early, late, and night shifts (06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00).
Candidates must possess a robust background in Injection Moulding, demonstrable leadership skills, and a track record of driving improvements in OEE and Scrap Reduction. Embrace the chance to make a significant impact in a forward-thinking manufacturing setting.
