Job Title: Lead Veterinary Surgeon
Salary: Up to £65,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: Pets’n’Vets, ( Newton Mearns, Hairmyres , Blantyre and Roundhouse Hospital)
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time

Your role and responsibilities:
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to work alongside ou r Clinical Director .
The focus of the role will be to optimise patient care through the support and development of the clinical team with a focus on the continuous improvement of current best practice protocols.
You will be responsible for line management of a portion of the veterinary team carrying out personal development reviews , implementing CPD plans and promoting engagement.
Your time will be split between our branch practices: Newton Mearns, Hairmyres , Blantyre and our 12 vet Roundhouse Hospital . Regular R ota’d time working between these practices will allow exposure to our host of services including advanced imaging (traveling CT and MRI and advanced ultrasound), advanced surgery , cardiology and physiotherapy . There will be support from certificate holders in surgery: soft tissue and orthopaedic , cardiology, medicine and ECC allowing progression and development of your own clinical skills .
You will work in conjunction with another Lead Vet, group nursing manager, clinical nursing manager and P ractice M anger to optimise culture within the practice as well as ensure effective utilisation within each team.

Our sites are based in Blantyre, Hairmyres, Crookfur , Queen Margaret Drive and Scotstoun. We are equally proud of our purpose-built Veterinary Roundhouse Hospital in Glasgow's Southside, providing both primary care and referral surgery services year-round.
Due to expansion of the veterinary team , we are recruiting a Lead vet position for our practices in the South of Glasgow.
This position is ideal for an experienced vet who thrive s on supporting and progressing their team, can building rapport with our longstanding client base and provid e a high level of clinical care for our patients.

Our large Vet team includes certificate holders in Surgery, ECC, Cardiology and Medicine. You will also be supported by experienced RVN’s including certificate holders , Patient Care Assistants and Client Care Advisors.
