The role
Our previous branch partner has moved to new horizons, so we have an opening for a vet to lead our team and build great relationships with our clients and patients. The role has a strong clinical focus, consulting and operating, along with some leadership responsibilities. You will be working alongside 2 vets in our team, experienced RVNS, receptionists and a practice manager. The teamwork across the two branches. There is a lot of opportunity to develop the practices.
This role is full time; however, we are open to discussions on hours that suit your lifestyle. Inclusion on Saturday morning rota 1:3. OOH is covered by neighbouring hospital.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary up to £75,000 per annum
- 5 weeks annual leave
- RCVS, VDS, BVA fees paid
- CPD allowance and other benefits
We offer relocation allowances should you move more than 40 miles from your current home address.
We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Department
Calne is in a listed building, so has lots of character. It has one main consulting room, operating theatre, x-ray/ultrasound room, lab and separate kennels and cattery.
Lyneham- purpose built recently with two consulting rooms, operating theatre, x-ray/ultrasound room, lab and separate kennels and cattery.
Both practices have a car park that staff can use and Calne has a basic bedsit should you need somewhere to stay whilst you relocate.
Branch
Calne is a friendly town, with local amenities within walking distance, great schools, and close to the M4 Chippenham junction. The White Horse of Wiltshire can be seen from the Calne practice – superb area for enjoying the countryside. Lyneham is a large pretty village and a 12-minute drive from Calne and 4 miles from Royal Wootton Bassett.
