Job description

We're looking for a Leading Hand to join our Transportation team based in Retford.

Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire

Contract: Fixed term contract: April 2024 – August 2024

Rate: £14.50 per hour plus bonuses & overtime

What will you be responsible for?

As a Leading Hand, you'll be working within our Surface Treatment team supporting them in managing and overseeing the operational activity, working within client specification and providing the best service possible to our customer.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assisting the Foreman in the effective day to day management of site resources, labour teams and subcontractor
  • Ensuring safe delivery of the works and guaranteeing they are in accordance with the surface treatments programme
  • Managing resources so works are efficiently delivered
  • Working with the Foreman managing risk, whilst identifying and maximising opportunities

  • Demonstrate great organisational skills and plan ahead
  • Lead and motivate with skills to promote a clear health and safety culture
  • Drive and hold a full driving licence
