An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learner Journey Pathways Co-ordinator to join our established Pathways team with the aim of coordinating and delivering a programme of enhanced provision targeted at young people with multiple barriers to education and employment and not engaging with school and associated services.

The postholders will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Pathways team, Virtual School and a range of partners including North Lanarkshire’s Working, Routes to Work, Skills Development Scotland and counselling services to coordinate and deliver bespoke and person-centred interventions which may include the development of skills for life and work, mental health and wellbeing support, employability skills and work-based learning opportunities to support young people towards a positive post school destination.

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as teaching, CLD, social work, career education with experience of working effectively with young people with barriers to learning and employment (including care experienced).

In addition, you will have knowledge of local and national priorities linked to the role eg We ASPIRE, The Plan for North Lanarkshire GIRFEC, CFE, DYW, 15-24 Learner Journey, the ability to operate as a strong and effective leader, excellent communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage in active listening, consultation, challenge and support and offer constructive criticism, advice and guidance.

Due to the nature of this role candidates require a driving licence.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
