Job description

  • Location: Theale

Purpose of role

To drive and deliver the implementation of Sondrel's Learning and Development Strategy across all regions. A key player in designing, delivering and evaluating programmes to build core capabilities and enhancing performance to develop robust and high performing teams. Responsible for total ownership and project management of their programmes including capability analysis, content design and delivery, through to measurement and analytics, and marketing communication.

What you will be doing

  • Build and successfully deliver the Company behaviours globally.
  • Manage the skills gap analysis process and assess training needs and create and deliver programmes to enhance performance.
  • Partner with managers to understand Learning and Development needs to plan, design and deliver bespoke training.
  • Deliver mandatory training in key areas to enhance service standards and technical requirements.
  • Design and deliver Leadership and Management programmes to upskill managers to be effective in their roles.
  • Partner with leaders to design career paths and appropriate technical competencies to support succession plans and to develop existing talent.
  • Identify, select and manage relationships with external training providers to deliver bespoke training courses as required.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to identify training needs and organisational issues that require learning interventions.
  • Manage and coordinate the company recognition programmes globally.
  • Review and manage the high-performance acceleration programme, from creation and selection to delivery and ongoing success.
  • Direct and manage the delivery of the Global Early Careers Programmes in all regions.
  • Managing and maintaining the L&D platform by keeping an up to date and informative resource library
  • Develop a culture of performance coaching to support individual development.
  • Bringing innovation to the Learning and Development function by continuously developing professional skills.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in Learning and Development.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programmes to ensure they are current and effective through participant feedback and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to collect feedback on programmes, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • Support senior leaders and managers in building high performing teams through team-building activities.

What you will bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years’ proven experience as an L&D Specialist
  • CIPD Certification would be desirable
  • Accreditation in delivering nationally recognised training courses would be an advantage

Skills & Experience

  • Be able to demonstrate experience in creating content for and facilitating leadership and management development programmes
  • Experience of managing and delivering early careers programmes
  • Creative in designing training programmes that meets a specific objective
  • The ability and confidence to deliver training to the Leadership Team and Senior Managers
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with strong management consciousness and interpersonal skills
  • Self-organisation and ability to respond to changing priorities quickly
  • Excellent organisation skills, managing multiple projects at a time
  • Proven experience in training evaluation
  • Solid IT and Social Media skills
  • Experience in blended learning approaches
  • Experience of working across different geographical locations.
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Capability to analyse and assess effectiveness of development programmes and updating as required

Where you will work

We have offices in both Theale and Bristol. Our Headquarters is based in Theale where you will be located around plenty of country pubs in the area, golf courses, fishing lakes, good cycle and walking routes. Our Bristol office is modern, open plan complex located by the intersection of the M4 and M5.
