Learning and Organisational Development Manager (Fixed-term for 12 months)
Role Description
Purpose
As a member of the leadership team within NI Water’s award winning Learning & Engagement (L&E) function, the post holder will be responsible for design and delivery of best in class Learning and Organisational Development strategies to drive performance, build skills and maximise capability.
The Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) Manager will work alongside three other L&E leaders (below), under the direction of the Head of L&E to drive transformational change to support the five key people priorities under NIW’s People and Learning strategy
The post holder will be responsible for building a culture of continuous learning across NI Water and will manage a team of L&OD professionals ensuring excellence and sustainability in all that they do.
The role will be based at Antrim Learning & Development Centre (LDC) but will require regular travel to NIW’s head office at Westland Road, Belfast and occasional travel to other NIW sites as required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A third level qualification in a relevant area AND a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a large organisation to include:
a) End to end leadership of significant learning or Organisational Developmentstrategies including needs analysis, planning, design, delivery and evaluation.
b) Experiencing of managing contracts of significant size/value including managing relationships, spend, budgets, quality/performance management.
c) Strong project management experience including evidence of managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, managing risk and upward project reporting to senior stakeholders.
OR (in the absence of a third level qualification)
A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a large organisation to include:
d) End to end leadership of significant learning or Organisational Developmentstrategies including needs analysis, planning, design, delivery and evaluation.
e) Experiencing of managing contracts of significant size/value including managing relationships, spend, budgets, quality/performance management.
f) Strong project management experience including evidence of managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, managing risk and upward project reporting to senior stakeholders.
2. Proficient in the use of ICT, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
3. As this post requires you to travel on official duty throughout Northern Ireland, you must have a full, current driving license or access to a reliable means of transport, which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities. This is an operational requirement and is essential to meet business needs.
Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £42,356 to £55,808 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
Location
The role will be based at the Learning & Development Centre, Milltown Road, Antrim, BT41 4NW, but will require regular travel to NIW head office at Westland House, Belfast and occasional travel to other NI Water sites across Northern Ireland.
