About the job

Job summary

The FSA is a non-ministerial department of over 1600 people. We play a critical role in protecting public health and consumers’ wider interests in food across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our vision is an important one - to drive change, delivering “food you can trust” and working towards a healthier and more sustainable food system.

Working in a relatively small Agency like the FSA is thrilling - our size affords us the ability to act with real agility. We are fast to respond, and the work of one person can go a long way. But equally, our remit is gigantic, and in order to ensure that the FSA is capable of delivering the best possible outcomes for all, it is vital that our staff are fully supported so that they can do their best work unhindered.

The Civil Service is committed to attract, retain and invest in talent wherever it is found. To learn more please see the Civil Service People Plan and the Civil Service D&I Strategy.

Job description

The People and Organisational Change (POC) division is dedicated to precisely this: looking after the FSA’s staff and equipping them with everything they need to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
