About the opportunity

It’s an exciting time to join us at Poundland and Dealz. We are looking for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join our People team, where you’ll provide centralised administrative support to the wider L&D team. 

Our Learning & Development Coordinator will help us get the most out of what we do – supporting a seamless onboarding process, the day-to-day management of our learning provision and answering queries for colleagues and line managers. 

This role plays an essential part in supporting the effective delivery of our internal and external development across our key business areas to ensure our colleagues have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.

The role offers an exciting and broad mix of tasks and responsibilities where you’ll assist in the planning and coordination of all learning and development administration, including mapping our annual training plans, maintaining training content through the Learning Management system (LMS), as well as sending invites, providing reports, turning data into insight and making sure training content is available to new starters.

What you'll be doing...
  • Manage training programmes and schedules, ensuring rooms and classroom sessions/webinars are booked and materials are available as required. 
  • Upload content to our Learning Management System (LMS), setting up user profiles and allocating relevant training to colleagues and new starters.
  • Issue and maintain the training schedule, room bookings, delegate invites including pre- and post- course activity and co-ordinate attendance to maximise attendance on all workshops.  
  • Monitor the Learning and Development inbox, dealing with queries relating to training schedules and colleague requirements.
  • Produce relevant reports, highlighting trends and producing dashboards on development and skills & qualifications activity.
  • Attend meetings with project teams, apprenticeship providers and partners as required and complete agreed actions, developing and managing relationships with trainers and industry bodies.
  • Support annual Developing My Performance review process including follow up activity and reporting.
What you'll need...
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently, and accurately to timescales.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office packages to provide data and content.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills to forge positive working relationships.
  • Previous training admin /coordinator experience in a similar role
  • Experience of using and maintaining e-Learning platforms
