Our client, a multi award-winning food manufacturing firm, has an exciting opportunity for an L&D Manager to join their team!
The role:
Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the Learning and Development Manager is responsible for leading, developing and implementing learning and development strategies and programs, designing and delivering both face to face and digital/virtual learning.
- Line management responsibility for the Operational Trainers
- Responsibility for managing the training budgets across the business
- Ensure full and robust training matrices are in place and regularly reviewed that capture all areas of the business
- Ensure all OJT is completed and evaluated
- Develop and implement comprehensive learning strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with the organisation’s goals and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and design effective learning solutions
- Utilise various learning methodologies, including e-learning, classroom training, workshops, and on-the-job training
- Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to support their professional development
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback surveys
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development
- Continuing to develop our approach to agile training
- Introduce and leading the relevant apprenticeship schemes
- Liaising with external training providers
- Support with wellbeing initiatives.
Key skills/ experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective learning programs
- Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and HRIS platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
