The ideal candidate as a Learning Disabilities Service Manager could be .
- The candidate may have extensive care experience ideally as a Service Manager's in the Mental Health or LD sector
- A natural leader who has empathy at the heart of all they do.
- Commercial awareness and able to demonstrate financial acumen for business growth
- CQC regulations knowledge and the ability to uphold at all times
- Standards of care the foundation of what you believe, to never compromise your standard so the highest of standards are achieved by all.
- A person of vision who once given direction and unconditional support has the inner self-motivation to never lose sight of their goals.
- Ideally holds an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it) or have an existing equivalent Management qualification.
The following gives you a snapshot of the role of Learning Disabilities Service Manager:
- You will be managing the service on a daily basis, this includes the line management, organisation and development of the staff team.
- You'll be able to build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and attend regular meetings where applicable. We work closely with local authorities and family members to form a close working relationship that benefits all.
- We task our Service Managers to complete quarterly audits within their services to identify any issues that may negatively impact the people we support, or the business as a whole.
- You'll be the first point of contact for all incidents and accidents if they occur and will be the safeguarding lead within the home to ensure that the people we support are kept safe from harm and to ensure you are running a well led and safe service.
