About the role:

Activate Learning are recruiting an enthusiastic and inspiring Team Leader to manage our existing Learning for Leisure and Community Learning, as well as build new community-based learning opportunities.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for somebody with outstanding organisational and communication skills who is committed to enabling students of all ages and abilities to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.

The post holder is responsible for the effective management, delivery and quality of the Learning for Leisure and community provision within the CreaTech faculty, across Berkshire and Surrey. You will be responsible and accountable for growth of the provision in terms of scale and diversity of the offer taking in to account local opportunities and strategic priorities.

This is a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) position.

What do you need to be successful as a Learning for Leisure Team Leader at Activate Learning?

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to engage with students, teaching teams and organisations within the community and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners. A proven track record of both independent and teamworking and managing competing priorities will be essential.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate their desire and ability to work alongside the wider team to develop links with local businesses and the wider community to build new courses that will meet the needs of the community.
