We are delighted to offer the opportunity to an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team of friendly, supportive staff working in our Early Years setting. Candidates will preferably have relevant Early Years NVQ qualifications or equivalent and they must have a good standard of English and Mathematics and basic computer skills.

The successful candidate will be committed to the highest possible standards of teaching and learning to enable children to achieve their full potential. You will be highly motivated, flexible, and reliable and be able to work as part of a team. Whilst primarily this role will involve supporting learning in the classroom, there will also be the requirement to deliver intervention sessions and work with outside agencies in delivering programmes of work.

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.

The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
