Teaching Assistants for SEN School in Slough

Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for our students. You will work closely with the teaching staff to provide essential support to children and young people with various special educational needs, ensuring that they receive the best possible educational experience. This is a short-term position, lasting until the February half-term.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to engage with learning activities.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Support students with personal care and development as required.
- Help in the organisation and preparation of learning resources.
- Collaborate with the teaching team, therapists, and other professionals to promote a holistic approach to education.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children and young people in professional settings, ideally within an SEN environment.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviours with a patient and understanding approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of the students.
