Learning Support & Student Mentor - Animal Care

FE Partners are proudly working with Warwickshire College Group on supported learning vacancies in Moreton Morrell College. 
The roles we have available are supporting 16–19-year-olds with additional needs in college. Many/most students at this college study Animal Care so it's advantageous if you enjoy working with animals.

Warwickshire College Group is one of the largest higher and further education colleges in the country and consists of: Royal Leamington Spa College, Rugby College, Warwick Trident College, Moreton Morrell College, Pershore College, Evesham College and Malvern Hills Centre for Digital & Cyber Technology.
This role is an excellent entry point to the UK Further Education sector. If you haven't got experience with supporting teaching & learning then Think FE will pay for you to complete a 6 month level 2 course to start on the day you receive your job offer. 
  
Roles available
All salaries below are after pro rata for 36 weeks per year and for the hours. These are all different shift patterns so should suit any days per week that you are available. 
Salary before pro-rata is £22,011-£22,307

• Support Mentor (LDD) - Supported Learning 21 hours per week

£10,083-£10,219

• Learning Mentor - 32 hours per week

• Support Mentor (LDD) - Supported Learning 30 hours per week

These roles are generally working 1-1 in a classroom (or outdoors) with students with additional learning needs. Helping them to achieve their potential in any way you can.     
Who are we looking for?
  
You will have a kind and supportive nature and a drive to help others achieve their potential. Ideally you will have some experience working with 16–19-year-olds with additional needs.
  
You must have a level 2 (GCSE C/4 or above) in maths and English.
A level 2 in supported learning or similar would be an advantage, however we are willing to provide you with a course at our cost.
