Learning Support Worker (Job Coach SEND)
Beaumont College, South Lakes (Ulverston) is a very special place and we are seeking to extend our work-family in response to increased demand for places at the college. If you have as passion to support some of the most vulnerable special school leavers to fulfil their potential in seeking sustainable employment, either full or part time, and either paid or voluntary through effective work-placement based support as their Job Coach, then this is the role for you!

About The Role
We are seeking to appoint Job Coaches who can see life through the lens of a SEND student, breaking tasks into achievable steps, and building high standards of knowledge, skills and behaviours through repetition and reflection. Candidates for this role will appreciate the world of work and be able to support employers and workplace colleagues in their journey towards disability confidence too.
Our students are amazing young people, who really want to feel valued in the workplace, and contribute positively to the community they are part of.

Your will work with a wider team including teachers, tutors and Learning Support colleagues. We offer small class sizes and high levels of support to our learners and as a result they make the progress they are capable of. Our pathways are highly personalised and alongside Preparing for Adult Hood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physio and hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive technologist, and positive behaviour practitioners.
